Biography:

Growing up with a family heavily involved with the Speedway, Jessica was always found somewhere around the track. Prior to receiving her learners permit for the road, Moulden’s mother thought it would only be best for her to get some driving skills, so at age 15 she became involved with the Junior Sedans.

Moulden’s first three seasons of heavy competition passed and Jessica had placed third in the Victorian State Title, fifth in the Australian Title and won the Victorian Junior Sedans Series.

After three seasons with memorable wins under her belt, Moulden, then 17, was over the age limit to continue competing in the Junior Sedan class. After taking a season off racing, her hunger for racing still burned, and during her time out of the driver seat, she had a few practice runs in a Formula 500’s, and absolutely loved it.

The 2006/07 season saw Moulden buy her first Formula 500 car from fellow lady racer, Deanne Davis. During Moulden’s debut season she had some promising drives, and she did so by claiming two podium feature race finishers and ‘Rookie of the year’ honours in her home state of Victoria.

With a brand-new Swift built by Darren Mollenouyx for the 2007/08 season, Moulden has already won the Victorian Title, rounds of the Victorian Stampede Series, and also collected a very impressive sixth place overall in the Oval Express Series.

Moulden’s long-term goal is to progress into the Sprintcar ranks, but for now is content with mixing it with the men, along with a few fellow females, in the Formula 500 ranks.
