That Winning Feeling Continues for Jessica Moulden                                               30-1-08

There seems to be no stopping ‘Miss’ Jessica Moulden in the 2007/08 season and this was once again evident at the weekend during the opening rounds of the South Queensland Formula 500 Super Series when she raced to victory lane in the second round at Maryborough Speedway.

Making a cameo appearance with the Hyper Racing Australia team, subbing for regular driver former Australian Champion Ben Devlin who was unable to compete due to work commitments, Moulden drove with distinction and capped off the weekend with a feature race victory.

“The deal to drive for the weekend only happened early last week and it was an opportunity that I wasn’t going to pass up,” Moulden expressed.

“Driving the Hyper car was a lot different from my regular Swift car, but I really enjoyed the experience that was made possible thanks to the Hyper Racing Australia team, in particular both Wayne Moller and Dave Hedington, as it was great to get their car into the winners circle.”

This latest victory for Moulden now brings her feature race winning season tally to four, which includes two round wins in the Victorian Stampede Series and most recently the Victorian State Title.

“I’m not really thinking about how many wins I have had, I’m just taking each race meeting as it comes, and not getting too far ahead of myself,” the 20-year-old admitted.

“Winning up in Queensland was not only special because it was one of my first drives in the Hyper Racing Australia house car, but also the fact that Wayne [Moller] on the opening night of racing and then me on night two were able to end the streak of four feature race wins by local Dan Moes.”

During Moulden’s first night with the Hyper Racing Australia team she managed a seventh place finish in the feature race at Maryborough Speedway.

Moulden would like to say a huge thanks to the entire Hyper Racing Australia team for all their support over the weekend.

The third round of the Victorian Stampede Series this Saturday night (February 2) at Simpson Speedway is the next event on the agenda for Moulden and she is looking to continue her undefeated run.

Moulden is supported in the 2007/08 season by: Race Shirts 4 U, McDonald Excavations, SWIFT Racing Products, Mt. Noorat Freighters, Jettco Developments, Design Effects Signage and Warrnambool Powder Coating.
