Armed
with the very latest Swift car and a freshly built Jettco
Developments prepared Yamaha R6 engine, Jessica Moulden
is set to embark on her second season in Formula 500s
and it is one where she is very enthusiastic about her
chances in the 2007/08 season.
It
was a very promising debut season in Formula 500s for
Moulden which saw her record a number of podium finishers
within the Victorian Stampede Series competition, with
her best finish being a second place, and the 19-year-old
is eager to build on her performances.
“I
was very green last season, but I still managed to record
some respectable results, and it was one where I learned
so much, and that is no doubt going to hold me in good
steed for this coming season,” Moulden said enthusiastically.
“With
the package that I have at my disposal I’m aiming to
be more consistent and record more podium finishes,
and if I can achieve that then I will be very happy.”

Moulden
plans to attend the majority of major shows along the
East Coast of Australia, including the Oval Express
Series, the Victorian Title, and quite possibly the
Australian Title at Lismore Speedway (Northern NSW)
over the Easter Long Weekend next year.
“I’m
very much looking forward to this season’s Oval Express
Series, especially with it going to Parramatta City
Raceway (Sydney, NSW),” she mentioned.
“The
Oval Express Series is going to be a very exciting time,
as the competition is very tough at this event and it
is pretty much an Australian Title field six nights
in succession, so that can only be a good thing for
my development as a driver.”
Another
focus for Moulden this season is achieving a strong
overall finish in the Victorian Stampede Series; somewhere
within the top five is where she has set the mark.
“A
top five result is the goal for the Victorian Stampede
Series, and I feel confident that it is a result that
I’m more than capable of if I remain consistent,” Moulden
added.
Moulden
is supported in the 2007/08 season by Race Shirts 4
U, McDonald Excavations, SWIFT Racing Products, Mt.
Noorat Freighters, Jettco Developments, and Warrnambool
Powder Coating.
The
2007/08 season is set to kick off this Saturday night
(November 24) at Premier Speedway (Warrnambool, VIC)
for the running of the annual Jack Willsher Cup.
